Dakota & TeNeal Elliott

Family Teachers – Cottonwood Grove Home

Dakota and TeNeal Elliot grew up together in a small town in Idaho, having known each other since they were 12 years old. They continued through school together and graduated in the same class. Dakota started his career in this field at Daniel’s Academy in Utah as a Youth Mentor and Advocate.  He was a natural at connecting to troubled youth, and started working as a Rehabilitation Technician for the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections where he worked for 3 years. He was also an intern with Madison County probation for a short time and was able to learn many techniques for connecting with troubled youth.

TeNeal attended BYU-Idaho after high school and then attended and graduated from Paul Mitchell Academy where her outstanding performance led to her becoming a Learning Leader and Color Specialist for the Paul Mitchell School- Rexburg. She enjoyed very much working with the girls who attended Paul Mitchel and found herself drawn to teaching, and a love for helping others achieve their goals.

Dakota and TeNeal were married in 2013 and have a darling little girl named Harper that was born in 2015 and is the light of their lives!  Dakota and TeNeal love spending time together as a family, particularly enjoying activities in the great outdoors such as camping, fishing, and hunting. Dakota enjoys body building, wood work, and traveling. TeNeal enjoys sewing, reading, singing, and being a mother.

TeNeal and Dakota brought their profound desire to serve humanity to Alpine Academy in June of 2015. They absolutely love working at Alpine Academy and feel this opportunity is a divine calling. They cannot imagine themselves anywhere else. They take very seriously the opportunity and responsibility to mentor, love, and teach the youth they are privileged to work with.
